14. my client said happy 'niu' year to me today and went moooo and laughed like it was the funniest thing on earth.

15. and i laughed until my chest muscles hurt again because it was actually quite hilarious and he sounded uncannily like a real cow. and then i closed the case. hee.

16. i wish i lived in a house with a garden so i can have charcoal bella and one more dog and a cat.

17. i dont mind turtles and terrapins but i havent decided if i am afraid of tortoises.

18. i want to swim with dolphins someday and have them rescue me from sharks. ;p

21. i shall buy jo a pair of crocs for her birthday and since it's a present from me she has to like it and then she will be forced to concede that crocs aint so bad after all.

chinese new year has come and gone, and thankfully no survival tactics were really needed.
in fact, the 2nd day was fun, to the extent i laughed so hard i pulled my already fragile chest muscle. so now, i am almost akin to an invalid, unable to do strenuous activities or even sneeze cause of the agnoizing sharp pull. :(

but, the break is gone and it's time once more to face up to the new obstacles ahead. or challenges. a new month is beckoning and with it comes new problems but new hopes.

so happy chinese new year everyone , and may the year of the ox signify times of hard work and may we reap what we sow.

it's been an eventful past week, with more lows than up.
sometimes i think about the goals i have set and realise the near impossibility of it all. but then i reckoned, if u want to set targets, you might as well set a high one and aim to get as close as possible, rather than an easy one hence lesser satisfaction.
i guess, as always, it's always best to know what the balance is, but the goals i have set, i aim to achieve, and if i dont, at least i cant say i didnt try. still, it's early days yet.

how pessimistic i sound. haha.

it's a hectic day and i cant believe i'm taking a few minutes off to blog. in fact, it's one of those days where you have a mountain of things to do you dont know where to start so u continue to laze in the valleys.

lots of chinese new year lunches and dinners ( all business ) coming up and i have to say although the food is gonna be good, i'm not looking forward to all the entertainment and networking.
cause i kinda feel it's really at these events where you are surrounded by so many people but you've never felt more alone.
but you gotta do what you gotta do. so the only way to see it is, 'it could be fun' you just never know.

being on the subject of chinese new year, i'm looking forward to the 2 days break. i dont have to worry about work, dont have to worry about the stock markets, everything else can wait, and i can just have a carefree 2 days collecting money. hee...

but having said all that, i'd rather have all my problems and have what i have, than no problems, and nothing.

sometimes i think i'm living in a world of dreams. not in the good sense mind, not the kind where my life is so good i am living for the moment.
and i dont mean dreams where it's akin to ambitions, places which you wish to get to, things which you wish to do.
i mean the terrible kind, the day dreams, where i really am deluding myself that there are sweets on the ground and raining marshmallows and popsicles hanging on the trees.

man, do i sound gloomy. must be monday blues.
and all this because of one lousy reason - the stock market.

after this stint, i'm gonna get out of it. my horoscope says the only markets that i should step into are those which i carry baskets and buy fish and meat and vegetables.

anyhow, it's not the end of the world! there are still beautiful things and moments!

and that kicked off 2009! well not exactly on the dot but it was the first major event of the year!

weddings ALWAYS make me want to get married. and i know how strange this sounds coming from me. hehe. too bad i aint marriage material. plus i am not a big fan of dresses, heels and flowers.

i'd rather be the groom. wahhahahaa

speaking of heels, my used-to-slippers-spread-out-toes nearly died last evening when they were squashed into a pair of strappy heels.
it was painnnnnnnnn painnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

i think i totter about quite well in heels though.

2009 looks promising, jan started out well, and i cross my fingers that it will continue in the many months.

i'm not exactly dieting but at least i'm not overeating either. and i stayed away from beer last night and stuck to wine.

markets are okay. i aim for small profits, that's good enough.

sales targets dont seem too impossible! yippee!
