it's too easy to see or hear something, and then form your own assumptions, draw your own conclusions, and make your own judgements. and so often, we are wrong in our perception. perhaps humans will never ever really learn the art of 'it is not always what it seems' but maybe the innate masochistic streak in us can only be controlled but never diminished by nurture.
the scariest thing is believing in something that is wrong, and the other party, oblivious to your beliefs, is never given the opportunity to put things right.
scary? freaking scary!
